Museo Mille Miglia and historic bikes

The historic bicycles you won't find in the museum. If you're lucky, there are also events for historic bikes here several times a year. The photo gallery is from 2024.

Museum

The museum is dedicated to the "Red Arrow" race and its creation was brought to life thanks to the Mille Miglia Museum Association. It was founded in December 1996 by a group of Brescia businessmen known as the "Friends of the Mille Miglia". The association now has 50 shareholders. The new museum was opened to the public on 10 November 2004. Part of this project was the restoration of the Sant'Eufemia monastery complex, which is owned by the municipality of Brescia. The building has enormous archaeological, historical and architectural value and has been in constant decline for some time.

Race Mille Miglia 2025

The Mille Miglia race is still held today, but it is a very prestigious veteran rally. In its original form, the Mille Miglia has been held since 1927 and over the course of three decades has gone down in history as one of the toughest races in the world. The name of the race means "a thousand miles" in Italian, so the route has always been approximately 1,600 km and has led in various modifications from the city of Brescia to Rome and back again.

Exhibition 2025: Heart of the Race

"Kahane heart of the race" refers to an art project by Elizabeth Ann Kahane, which documents the mechanics and their dedication in the Mille Miglia classic car race in Brescia, Italy. Kahane's project, titled "HEART OF THE RACE, Master Mechanics of the Mille Miglia," involved creating portraits of the mechanics and documenting their work both before and during the race. Expo: „Pedallando nella Storia“, Ecomuseo Villaggio Leumann, Collegno - Italy

A beautiful local exhibition. On April 13 and 14, 2024, an exhibition of historical bicycles "Pedallando nella Storia" took place on the premises of the Leumann school in Collegno.

Joined by two associations (@associazionevelocipedistipiemontese and Officine Creative Torino Cecchi Point) and guests of the Villaggio Leumann Inquilini association, which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its constitution.

The many passionate visitors who took turns in the premises of the old school were able to enjoy the bikes made by Turin's bicycle craftsmen.

The exhibition was complemented by dozens of racing bikes from the years 1920 to 1972, the ones with the "blue" lacquer of the frame of the legendary designer and manufacturer Lino Beltramo, whose bikes were used by the best racers in Turin, are noteworthy.

Columbus – Cinelli, Milan – Italy

A fantastic report from my friend Jakub Svoboda (owner of Kolokrám s.r.o company) from June 8, 2025, no words are needed because he himself described it as a true "heartbreaker" and bike lover!

"Benvenuti and Cinelli! Welcome to Cinelli!

423/A - Columbus – Cinelli

With a slight distance, after a few days of work hustle and bustle and in full season, the time has come to stop for a moment and share with you a few shots from Milan and directly from Cinelli!

We had a unique opportunity to take a look at a place dedicated to cycling - the legendary Columbus factory, where frames and wheels that have written history have been created for decades. For every cyclist, it is without exaggeration a Mecca, one of the cradles of modern road cycling. It was here that bikes for world champions, for renowned European brands and among them, for example, the American Specialized were born.

But don't think that they live only from history! They are not idle here today either. With a new American investor, Cinelli is trying to restore the brand to its former glory. The main task is not to remain just an icon of the steel past, but to continue to create the future of cycling

We won't show you the news for the 2026 season yet - they are of course subject to an embargo. But we will be happy to share with you that piece of huge history, the atmosphere of the place and the charm of this old factory, which cannot be described in words. It simply has to be experienced and shared.

And if the weather is not very good right now, it's raining outside, this is the ideal opportunity to transport your thoughts to Italy for a while. We assume that you have already finished your Sunday lunch, so sit down comfortably, make yourself a good coffee or, for a good experience and well-being, open a bottle of red wine and enjoy this little excursion into the world of Cinelli bikes with us.
