Museo Cyclostorico Palazzi, Gallarate - Italy +++++

A small private museum with a complete cross-section of the development of the bicycle. Racing cycling and military bikes have their important place. Open by appointment only.

In 2022, we made an appointment, visited the place, the owner was at home, he lives directly above the exhibition, but our delay was not understood and the museum remained closed to us. They were more accommodating in a small bar nearby.

Museo dei Mestieri In Bicicletta – Gubbio, Italy +++++

The museum is a cross-section of Italian history from the 1920s to the 1960s and has social and educational value. This is an absolutely typical presentation of the history of the bicycle in Italy. Almost every museum or collection has some kind of "craftsman" bike. Here it is in full representation. The bicycles in the collection are original. The year of manufacture of the bicycles cannot be determined precisely, as they underwent constant changes based on the wishes of the owners.

“100 volte Bottecchia“, Associazione Culturale Ottavio Bottecchia Pordenone, Italy

The Associazione Culturale Ottavio Bottecchia Pordenone was born from the desire to build a cultural, sporting and educational path aimed at enhancing the memory of Ottavio Bottecchia, a witness to heroic cycling, 100 years after his first victory at the Tour de France in 1924. It testifies that the life of a person and cyclists is strongly rooted in the capital Pordenone and the naming of the city Velodrome. A journey that brings attention to both his sporting achievements and his human value profile, with events in favor of the territory and citizens of Pordenone; for younger generations to take a cue from Bottecchi's statement after winning the Tour:

"I endured, I resisted. Above all, I wanted.

The development of the tire is precisely the reason why we included the Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile among the cycling museums. Blending with the development of the bicycle is very close.

The second and most important reason was the ongoing MOTUS exhibition.
