Perol, Nantes, France, early high wheel – around 1871

A very unique piece of bicycle history. PEROL - one of the early bicycle manufacturers in France. The factory used parts from A. Meyer, which gave the bikes a high "stamp" of quality. These machines were often used in races. Seven great victories are known in the period press.
The only other known piece from this manufacturer is in the Dutch National Velorama museum. This piece has a label commemorating these seven victories.

The high wheel is original and without renovation. The manufacturer's label and the area with the manufacturer's name on one pedal are preserved.

The front wheel size is 110 cm.
