H-R-F Diavolo - Magni, Time Trial, 26“/28“, Swiss 1997
H-R-F is a Swiss artisan bicycle manufacturer. The company was established in 1975 in Spiez next to the famous Jungfrau mountain range. The aim of H-R-F is to produce unique designs with high-end Italian components. Our example was produced in a collaboration project with the Magni workshop.
This one-off piece bicycle was designed in homage to Didi Senft, a German cycling fan known as Didi the Devil or El Diablo. He is famous at the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia for his appearances in a red devil costume and painting trident symbols on the road.
The bicycle itself is really something special, the frame is built from Columbus Genius tubing which has been seamlessly constructed into a lugless design using a TIG-welding technique. The cables have been internally routed, very much in keeping with the aerodynamic machine. As for the components, it has been built up with Campagnolo Record groupset, the cult classic Campagnolo Delta brakes and a set of FIR time trial wheels.
