Bailleux racing bike, late 30's, 55cm c to c, Stronglight steel racing chainset, early Brooks saddle with oval mark, Lam brakes and unusual Leroy thumb levers, transfers "Rubis déposé" on fork top and down tube (quality lightweight tubing), Philippe steel stem and handlebar.

The wheels are good quality but don't match and are not of the same period as the bike.

It's a very light and very good quality hand built frame with interesting features and a beautiful fork top, made for a good amateur racer who then took the Superchampion gear off (see braze-ons) and turned it into his training bike.
