High Wheel - 52", 'B. Mail' - England

A Thomas Smith of Saltley Mill, 'British Mail' (?) having a 52-inch driving wheel, 3/4-inch crescent rims with good tyring fitted, single hollow-blade forks, circular backbone swaged to a well-castered rear forks. Other features of this very sound machine are 28-inch hooped handlebars retaining their original turned bone grips, and correct brake-lever and spoon. The saddle spring bears a very indistinct etched maker's name and supports an saddle new leather top. The slotted 6-inch 'Badger' detachable cranks posses their original pedals
