Museum for Industrial Culture – Nuremberg, Germany +++++

The museum is located in the hall of a former screw factory, which was part of the Julius Tafel iron works, established in 1876 and closed down in 1975. The Museum for Industrial Culture including the Nuremberg Motorcycle Museum and the School Museum.  When we visited the museum we were realy surprised how nice bicycle collection is there.

A nice exhibition with many bicycles from Steffen Stiller‘s collection and memebers of local clubs from Dresden, Chemnitz and Bad Brückenau. This exhibition was opened through summer 2017.

August Horch Museum Zwickau - Germany +++++

A very nicely designed museum of the German brands Horch, Audi, DKW and Wanderer. Everything is sensitively and tastefully located in the original Audi production building from the beginning of the last century. Lovers of bicycles and velocipedes will definitely find a few snippets ....

Gochsheim Reichsdort Museum - Germany +++++

A small and nice private collection of Horst Schabel, who was a very successful racer and champion in the 1950s. The museum is near Scheinfurt, so part of the exhibition is dedicated to local brands and the Sachs company.
